Frequently asked questions

What is Monte Carlo simulation?

Monte Carlo simulation runs thousands of scenarios using probability distributions rather than single-point estimates. Instead of saying "revenue will be $2.8M," it generates a range: "$2.1M to $3.4M at 80% confidence." This gives finance leaders a realistic view of possible outcomes.

What is UES?

UES (Uncertainty Exposure Score) is the industry's first standardized metric for forecast confidence. It scores your forecast risk from 0-100, combining accuracy, bias, volatility, and persistence. Think of it as a "FICO score for your budget."

Which ERPs do you support?

FinHelm is ERP-agnostic. We currently connect to Sage Intacct and QuickBooks Online via MCP, with NetSuite coming Q2 2026. You can also import any financial data via CSV or Excel.

Is my data secure?

Absolutely. FinHelm operates on a zero data custody model — we never store your financial data. All connections are read-only via OAuth 2.0. Our infrastructure is 100% AWS-native and we're on the path to SOC 2 compliance.

What's the difference between FinHelm and Clarity?

FinHelm Clarity is the QuickBooks-specific product designed for SMBs. The full FinHelm platform (Flow, Core, Horizon, Navigator) supports any ERP and is designed for mid-market finance teams with more complex needs — multi-entity, driver-based planning, and industry Vertical Packs.

How long does setup take?

60 seconds from ERP connection to your first probabilistic forecast. No implementation partner required. No 6-month project plan. Connect, and the intelligence starts immediately.
